What I did eventually was to have about $100 spent on a headset which is used for dictation. This had an amazing effect or impact on my accuracy.

If the environment where you happen to be dictating is noisy, your accuracy is likely to decrease. Choose a room that is quiet.

Be Patient While You Learn

Just like any other skill which is new, it usually takes time for you to learn how to get a book dictated. I had to go through a lot of trial and error stages in other to learn how to get dictation integrated into a workflow.
